This Privacy Policy describes how Maple Solutions ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Bookly Shopify application (the "App"). By installing or using Bookly, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information through the App:

Merchant information: Your Shopify store domain, access tokens required by the Shopify API, and settings you configure in the App (business name, email preferences, timezone, etc.).
Customer booking data: Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, appointment date and time, selected services, notes, and reference photos uploaded during the booking process.
Order data: Shopify order IDs associated with confirmed bookings, used to link payments to appointments.
Google Calendar credentials: If you connect Google Calendar, we store OAuth access and refresh tokens scoped to your store to sync booking events.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create, manage, and display bookings in your Bookly dashboard.
To send booking confirmation and reminder emails to your customers on your behalf.
To create and update calendar events in your connected Google Calendar.
To generate available time slots based on your staff schedules.
To automatically expire stale pending bookings per your configured threshold.
To authenticate your store with Shopify and maintain your session.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the following services as necessary to operate the App:

Shopify: We interact with the Shopify Admin API to install web pixels, manage your store session, and process webhook events. Your use of Shopify is governed by Shopify's Privacy Policy.
Resend: We use Resend to send transactional emails (booking confirmations and reminders) to your customers. Emails contain the customer's name, appointment details, and your business information. See Resend's Privacy Policy.
Google Calendar API: If you connect Google Calendar, booking data (customer name, service, date/time, notes) is sent to Google to create calendar events in your account. See Google's Privacy Policy.

All data is stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

When you uninstall Bookly from your Shopify store, all of your store's data is automatically deleted from our database — including bookings, services, staff, settings, and Google Calendar credentials. This happens via Shopify's app/uninstalled webhook.

If you would like your data deleted before uninstalling, or if you believe data was not fully removed, please contact us at support@maplesolutions.info.

5. Customer Data (Your Customers)

As a merchant using Bookly, you are responsible for ensuring that your customers are informed about how their booking data is collected and used. We process customer data on your behalf as a data processor. You remain the data controller for your customers' information.

Customer booking data is retained as long as your store has Bookly installed. It is deleted when you uninstall the App.

6. Cookies and Tracking

The Bookly booking widget uses a Shopify Web Pixel to listen for checkout completion events in order to confirm bookings after payment. This pixel operates within Shopify's customer privacy framework and does not set independent cookies.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@maplesolutions.info.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify merchants of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
